Most Canadian independent schools collect tuition by monthly bank-account pull rather than credit card — to avoid the 3% processing fee on every payment. Pryvera does this natively. Set up the annual plan once per family. One click generates the month's invoices. One click produces the CPA-005 file your bank accepts. Failed pulls are flagged separately for follow-up; late NSF reversals are handled gracefully.
If your school prefers to offer credit-card payment for tuition or one-off fees, Pryvera integrates with Stripe — the school absorbs the per-transaction fee in exchange for the convenience.
Configurable sibling-discount schedule
Set the per-student rate and discount tiers once. The system computes the family total automatically and shows the per-child breakdown for staff to sanity-check.
Bank-on-file, encrypted at rest
Bank account numbers stored encrypted. Only the last four digits ever displayed. Signed PAD authorization tracked per family.
Settlement and NSF reconciliation
When the bank confirms, the treasurer marks settled. Returned pulls and late NSF reversals are tracked separately — books stay accurate, follow-up queue stays clean.
After-care on the same rail
Monthly after-school-care charges roll into a single AR invoice per family that rides the next PAD batch. Parents see one bank pull, not two.
Privacy-first by design
Student medical notes, IEP diagnoses, parent banking details, donor records — all encrypted at rest. Every access to sensitive information is recorded. Cross-role access is physically blocked at the server, not just hidden in the menu.
